Lunchtime Concerts

As part of Pride's 18th birthday celebrations there will be lunchtime recitals held at the BBC on Oxford Road. I think you should just turn up a little before 1.pm any day between Monday and Friday next week. Admission is free and there will be a retiring collection!

It isn't often I come to this corner of our website and I've got a feeling that maybe is the same for other members!

This time of the year is always fraught with anxiety over the impending Pride Parade and all the work that that entails! I'm sure that this year will be no exception but just like recent years we'll come through on the day! Being Prepared For New People

Due to our recent press in the MEN we should be prepared for new people coming along to give us a try plus the web link now on our main page re MEN,I feel it would be good if we spread ourselves amongst any new people so they comfortable as for some of them it may have been a ordeal and want them to know that we are a friendly group and will come again to us as this is our aim to reach out to a wider diverse gay section giving us more scoop for maybe increased group activities in the future.Malcolm.

Sadly Ian and his mum won't be with us this year! Ian is going travelling and his mum is looking after his nana who is ill! So I've been trying to rack my brain but can't come up with anyone I know who is agile on a sewing machine! Can you?

Regarding the newsheet John handed out on the way to Warrington last Thursday, Pj and I both think that Pantomime would make a really good theme. It offers a lot of scope for costumes.

Not to be confused with the other Mr Taylor ( my long lost grandad ) I was introduced to the group just over 2 years ago and I can attest to its great influence in my life for the better. The members are great people and provide an outlet for being with like-minded folks for friendship and companionship. We get up to loads of stuff most weeks and this provides a welcome introduction to the educational,cultural and leisure activities in the Greater Manchester Area.

New bus passes!

Most of us have now received our new bus passes! Perhaps we could make good use of them by dreaming up a sposored bus ride! I had thought of a relay from Lands End to John O'Groats but now see the pass is only vilid for travel in England! Perhaps a round the perimeter of England instead? Some thoughts please! I'm sure Malcolm would love collecting bus timetables and working out the logistics of it all!!!
